Experience

HSD, Researcher in Computational MechanicsSep. 2023 - Present
Investigating novel approaches for linear and non-linear problems in the realm of isogeometric multi-patch analysis and high-order finite element methods.

HSD, Research assistant in Computational MechanicsApr. 2022 - Sep. 2023
Worked on Finite Element extensions, including novel local refinement techniques and fictitious domain methods in the context of high-order approaches.

HSD, Student assistant in Machine LearningApr. 2021 - Mar. 2022
Assisted in an industrial research project which had the goal to make proficient predictions with a production-line measurement data using deep autoencoder neural networks. Among other things this included common software engineering tasks in an in-house machine learning framework.

e-Traxx Düsseldorf, Aerodynamics and CAEOct. 2019 - Feb. 2023
Participated in the university Formula-Student team for three and a half years. Worked on a verity of tasks including: design and manufacturing of mechanical parts, design and simulation of aerodynamic components and vehicle-parameter controlled estimations of lap times through custom simulation software.

Teaching

HSD, Introductory development projectSep. 2022 - Feb. 2023
Offered a course for first semester students, in which the participants got a practical introduction in the workflows and basics steps of mechanical engineering. During the course, the students designed and built a simple measurement setup for the aerodynamic evaluation of airfoils.

HSD, Tutor for InformaticsOct. 2019 - Feb. 2021
Informatics I & Informatics II
The two listed classes provide an introduction in procedural- and object-oriented programming with C and Java. As a tutor I mainly supported the labs by giving technical advice to the students.
